the Wisdom of Listening

A 3-Day In-Person Retreat

In our modern world, we are constantly pulled outward—responding to responsibilities, distractions, and demands that take us away from the deep knowing within us. Our energy is often caught in cycles of overthinking or hovering outside the body in states of anxiety.

Healing is our return to wholeness, a process of coming home to our true nature.

Embodiment is a central part of the healing journey. Without it, deep and lasting transformation cannot take root. It is a process of bringing the different energies of ourselves—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—into greater harmony and ultimately into oneness.

Embodiment is essential and powerful for our inner healing and for helping others to heal.

It is a journey of relaxation and release, deep listening, expression, and honoring what our internal navigation system reveals.

We will weave together movement, music, meditation, drawing and clay work, subtle energy work and journaling to support and guide us.

Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to join us for this expansive and powerful healing event to awaken embodiment ~ to support our journey to come back home to ourselves and touch the beauty, joy and fullness that live within us.

“I am passionate about harnessing the body’s intelligence to support awakening our highest potential as spiritual and human beings. I believe that we are in a delicate and important passage of our life on this planet, and that it is time to rise and move towards a new way of living together.”

Peggy Fuhs

Co-Founder and Director Institute for Therapeutic Touch And Integrated Modalities

Peggy has been a pioneer and a gentle activist in the movement toward the integration of healing paradigms and approaches into the fabric of our health care.

For fifty years Peggy has practiced as a transpersonal and energetic psychotherapist, nurse practitioner, teacher, consultant and healer. She has seen clients across a vast spectrum of need. In 1980 she cofounded and continues as Director of the Institute for Therapeutic Touch and Integrated Modalities, dedicated to the use of Energy Medicine, and the Well-Springs Program, a synthesis of movement, classical music, and the Arts in healing. She has developed and taught the Institute’s Subtle Energy Training Program internationally and has facilitated ongoing healing retreats across the country. She has held positions on the faculties of several prominent universities in Philadelphia and in a number of integrative healing centers.

From the beginning she has been devoted to her own deep healing and to facilitating that healing for others. Her expansive work uses both eastern and western methods to facilitate our return to connection, self acceptance and love, inner wholeness and the reality that we are all One. Using these methods together allows us to touch each aspect of our beings more deeply and let go into a new level of integration within.

Excited to work together

From Amara

I am deeply honored to co-teach this retreat with Peggy Fuhs, whose remarkable fifty-year journey as a transpersonal psychotherapist, nurse practitioner, and healer has made her a true pioneer in integrative healing. As Co-Founder and Director of the Institute for Therapeutic Touch and Integrated Modalities, Peggy has devoted her life to facilitating deep healing and our return to wholeness.

The combination of her vast knowledge, humor, and deep compassion have profoundly moved me. I love being in her presence and look forward to co creating new pathways together. What excites me most is weaving her understanding of subtle energy with movement, creating rich, multidimensional pathways for transformation. Together we will expand the possibilities of how we come home to ourselves and remember the profound truth that we are all One.

From Peggy

I am thrilled to be co-facilitating this deep healing retreat with Amara. Her work, AZUL, is an elegant movement centered path, so spiritually informed and comprehensive. The embodiment process has allowed me to enhance my own awareness of, presence in and flow through my body and so has deepened my inner healing and the way I work with others. It is profound work.

Our journey to wholeness both collectively and individually is deeply loving, multidimensional and energetic. I am so excited to blend our already powerful work, to gently embrace and transform any limiting patterns that do not serve our healing wherever they may be living – in our bodies, thoughts, emotions, or spirit and move into the fullness of our true selves. If you provide energetic healing work for others, this is an essential, companion work for you.

Our 80 plus years of combined experience, the energy of our work and the space will support and guide our healing. Absolutely no experience is necessary and those of any age or physical circumstance are welcome. Give yourself a gift of healing! You don’t want to miss this!!

From Maureen Chin (participant)

I am excited because of how important both Peggy and Amara are to me, their teachings, their love! Combining what both of them will bring to the Retreat feels almost atomic in nature… I cannot wait to be a part of the weekend.

Peggy’s depth of understanding Energy, and Amara’s depth of understanding Movement in the body will offer a unique combination to bring us deeper into transformation, healing and love.

Knowing the deep respect that Peggy and Amara have for each other’s work, and their willingness to share this together… I am certain that it will be a very rich experience.

Welcome to CampHill Village

A beautiful community space to hold the work

Where is the Retreat?

We are excited to tell you that the Retreat will be held at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, an intentional intergenerational community located in the countryside about 1 hour northwest of Philadelphia. There are about 100 Camphill Communities worldwide. Inspired by Rudolph Steiner and Anthroposophy, its mission includes strong support for deep spiritual growth within the context of life itself. It is an amazing place. The energy in the meeting room is magical and high to support our collective journey. The dining space and kitchen are adjacent.

Where are we eating meals?

We will have a real culinary treat at the retreat! Most of our meals will be prepared and served on site by our amazing organic cook. This allows everyone to stay present on our inner journeys and not have to deal with the outside world and the stress associated. Our cook has had vast experience providing delicious options for most dietary needs. As a baseline the food will be organic, no added sugar, gluten free, anti- inflammatory, and mostly grain/bean free with meat and vegetarian options. After you register we will find out what your needs are so we can meet them. You will be well cared for.

Saturday and Sunday breakfasts will be on your own wherever you are staying (not included in the meal plan).
Cost for meals is $155. and is included in the total retreat price.

Where are we sleeping?

There are a number of different reasonably priced options for lodging. Each person will make individual arrangements with our help as needed.

There are some rooms available on-site if people want to be part of the community, or especially for those traveling from a distance without a car. The cost is $60/night including breakfast. You would have a room in one of the households. They will be available on a first come basis.

There are abundant Air BnBs within 30 min of the Retreat site. They start at $50/nite. There are also a number of hotels within 20 min of the site.

We will give you recommendations and directions on these options when you register for the Retreat. Contact Peggy with questions
