Outdoor 5Rhythms™ Dance

Tess Howell is a 5Rhythms facilitator, dance producer and artist. She is the instigator of the “Wild Grace” project which uses silent disco technology to get people dancing outdoors in inspiring natural locations. She is also director of the UK based  “Rites of Passage” programme which uses 5 Rhythms dance and the expressive arts to develop leadership in young women. “I’m passionate about dance and the arts as ways to engage fully in life.  The dance floor is a place with permission, no steps to learn, nothing to get right;  somewhere we can be both playful and prayerful as we delight in our shared time together.   Dance is my dharma- a way in which we can really show up for ourselves, for others and for the wider world around us.  Ultimately we dance to find our own joy and to become mindful of what really matters most to as we move through….”

Bob Hillary & the Massive Mellow specialise in deep trancey Soul grooves, pulling in African reggae rhythms, jazzy ‘Fat Freddys Drop’-style horns & neil young style vocal melodies.

‘”Achieving that killer combination of being simultaneously chilled and hugely uplifting, it’s the kind of music where your body often decides to dance before you’ve given the go-ahead. Baloo the bear would be cross-eyed and shuffling in a trance to much of this – and I’m with the bear. ‘ Harry Glass (Daily Mail)”

Beautiful Chorus is comprised of 12 women who have created two new forms of intensely celestial meditation – Rhythmic Meditation and Resonance Meditation. Dedicated to the expansion of all things beautiful, the ladies of BC sign in undulating waves of harmonic bliss, sometimes with the accompaniment of chakra-aligned, crystal singing bowls. In group meditations, they have performed for upwards of 1,000 people at a time, and in intimate settings have provided private sessions of meditation for individuals and small groups. Their sound is unlike any other, and to hear them live is a very special treat, as their voices dance around those who listen.
