She is passionate about the healing power of dance and how dance can catalyze deep change and transformation. She has a Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy and is an accredited teacher of Gabrielle Roth 5 rhythms. She is an accomplished film maker of dance and has had an extensive international career creating numerous award winning documentaries and short films about dance including the award winning international documentary “Dances of Ecstasy” (with Nicole Ma) which explores the ecstatic experience through dance, rhythm and music. Michelle has directed all of Gabrielle Roth’s teaching videos including The Wave and Power Wave. Michelle has helped to create a vibrant dance community in Sydney offering weekly classes in 5Rhythms and workshops in 5Rhythms and Dance therapy. She also offers dance in the community for elders with dementia.

Mel Dobra In collaboration with guitarist Josh Arent, coming from a background in Flamenco and traditional Gypsy music, they have spent the last year writing guitar-driven melodic compositions that are both haunting and uplifting. Their differing musical influences combine to produce an evocative and timeless sound, drawing on themes of facing fears, the shadow, trancendance and stories of love and loss.
