I found my way to conscious dance in response to my journey with chronic pain. At a low point I asked myself the question, “when have I ever felt good in my body?” The answer was immediate: DANCE!

Living in a rural area led me to explore all that was available online, which is where I found Amara and Azul. I completed the entirety of my Teacher Training online, and I love the community I have built through the magic of technology. It is amazing the connection and depth of experience that can be held through the field of Azul, even if we are never in the same room together.

Dancing from home, through Zoom, also opens incredible opportunities for people with limited mobility or compromised health. We are able to create a safe and connected space that allows people to explore and expand embodiment practices from the comfort of their own homes. I am committed to offering programs that support people with limited mobility to experience the depth of experience conscious dance provides.

The Path of Azul has led me to a new relationship with my body and my experiences of pain. This is my embodiment practice, my spiritual practice, and my commitment to my own well-being… and to supporting the well-being of others.
